Summer Quran program - advanced session

2010 Summer

An intensive weekday evening program in recitation and memorisation of the Qur'an

This class is for brothers only (ages 10 & above who are at the appropriate skill level), we are looking into offering sister's classes and will update our website once everything is in place inshallah.

This session is geared towards students who are fluent in the recitation of the Qur'an and are able to recite the Qur'an with some rules of Tajweed. The emphasis will be placed on mastering their recitation skills, as well as memorisation and/or review of selected chapters of the Qur'an.

At the end of the program, students will be able to recite the selected chapters from memory, with an excellent grasp of both the theory and practice of the rules of Tajweed.

This session is ideally suited to those who are currently enrolled in various tahfiz (memorisation) programs; those who have independently memorised portions of the Qur'an, or are fluent in recitation and wish to master their tajweed skills.

 

The Qur'an Recitation and Memorization program will continue during the blessed month of Ramadan, with the inclusion of two other eminent Qaris from Libya (Qari Waleed Saleem and Qari Hamza). All three Qurra were guests of the IIT during previous Ramadan (2007-2009), and we are honoured that they will be our guests during Ramadan this year.
